The trail is divided into three sections: the northern section, the central section, and the southern section. The northern section runs from Citrus Springs to Dunnellon, the central section runs from Dunnellon to Ridge Manor, and the southern section runs from Ridge Manor to Trilby.
The trail is open from 8 a.m. until sundown, 365 days a year. There is no fee required to use the trail.
